After 52 years of professional life, Walter Kautz retires at the age of 67. Daughter Miriam Kautz and Valentin Singer will continue the company.

Walter Kautz began in 1980 as a one-man company. In 1986 Kautz built 1986 in Legelshurst an office and the manufacturing hall. In 2008, a large assembly hall was built in Legelshurst. Kautz built sugarloaf machines for Morocco, which were also developed by Kautz. From a small supplier, the company has become an international player in steelplant technology over the years. In 2015, the company was renamed in to KAUTZ Technologies.
